CAR-PARK WARNING Since January 1998 the Tynemouth Crime Prevention Panel have been working amongst Public Pay and Display car parks throughout the Tynemouth Area Command. Research has found that 1 in 5 of cars parked in London car parks were left insecure. Panel members have been installing Small Fluorescent warning stickers on the parking meters, and larger A4 & A3 size posters, some of which were designed by a Panel Member, were displayed on notice boards, and street lights. The aim is to remind car drivers of vehicle security, remove valuable property from view, and lock their cars every time they park. |
